4 – Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone is an oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroid with a low androgenic acivity index 0.10-0.15 similar to methenolone and a myotrophic activity index of 0.50. Because of the 4-chloro alteration, chlorodehydromethyltestosterone does not convert into estrogens nor into DHT. Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone is used in cases of muscle wasting syndrome in HIV patients. Because of it’s low androgenic activity chlorodehydromethyltestosterone can be used by woman and does not cause virilization. Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone on low doses does not suppressive on hypothalamic-pituitary axis (HTPA) function.
